To kick-start this brave new year, CUCKOO has unveiled 2019’s star- studded line-up of CUCKOO Friends, each embodying CUCKOO’s philosophy of going Beyond Standards in all that we do, as well as CUCKOO’s goal of creating Healthy Homes for all.

In his quest to shed light on the characteristics of liver cancer and leukaemia cells, orthopaedic-surgeon-turned-astronaut Dr Sheikh traversed beyond Earth to the final frontier – space – aboard Soyuz TMA-11 in 2007 for the benefit of science and mankind.

Today, Dr Sheikh treks the journey of parenthood as a proud father of four, and his drive to inspire each of us to brave beyond our limits continues to uplift the new generation of thinkers and tinkers.

As the host of Astro Meletop and Gegar Vaganza, an actor in numerous local TV series, and a proud father of three, Nabil Ahmad’s excellence in so many roles as well as his lovely upbringing of his children are the perfect embodiment of CUCKOO’s Beyond Standards philosophy.

Hetty Sarlene is simply courage and determination embodied.

Beginning with her instant-hit debut single “Rindu Aku Rindu” in the year 2000, Hetty Sarlene’s career took her across multiple industries – music, film, and reality TV – pausing only so that she may focus wholeheartedly on raising a family.

Having returned to the limelight in 2018’s Gegar Vaganza 5, Hetty Sarlene is poised to take the industry by storm onstage, and cook lovely meals for her loved ones at home.

Positivity is something the world sorely needs these days, and Raaga radio host Aanantha believes in using his position and fame to spread just that to people across the world.

To that end, Aanantha has strived throughout his vibrant career in music, TV and radio to champion culture, human values and environmental awareness. He is also a spokesperson for the Malaysian AIDS Council as well as a Youth Ambassador for IM4U, and is avidly embodying and sharing the joys of a positive life by embracing mediation, yoga and vegetarianism. He hopes to make meaningful, worldly music with passionate musicians as well.
