CUCKOO EXTENDS AID TO 300 FLOOD-HIT FAMILIES IN PAHANG
100 Refurbished Mattresses, 300 Sets Of Essential Goods Donated To The Flood-Hit Families In Pahang
Through The Al-Sultan Abdullah Foundation (YASA)
Kuantan, 11 March 2021 – As the flood-hit communities return to homes ravaged by the monsoon floods, Healthy Home Creator, CUCKOO International (MAL) Sdn Bhd (CUCKOO International) has recently aided the families in Pahang in rebuilding their homes. The effort is part of the company’s community outreach programme, ‘CUCKOO Love, Care Project’, which sees a total of 100 refurbished mattresses in King- and Queen-sizes as well as 300 sets of daily and essential goods donated under the programme’s latest initiative.
Donated to the Al-Sultan Abdullah Foundation (YASA), a non-profit organisation set up by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, the aid has subsequently been distributed to the families in Lanchang, Bukit Tinggi, Kuantan, and Indera Mahkota.
“As we #SAMASAMA help where possible, we hope that the aid provided would ease the burden of those affected by the flood recently in rebuilding their homes. This community outreach is also part of our continued commitment as a Healthy Home Creator in shaping safer, healthier and happier homes for all Malaysians,” said CUCKOO International Founder & CEO, Mr Hoe Kian Choon.
Of the items donated, the 100 refurbished mattresses were contributed by LSK Group Berhad and thoroughly cleaned by the highly professional CUCKOO+ Service Team with the WonderKlean’s Mattress Cleaning Service; while the 300 sets of daily goods include the CUCKOO Thermal Pots (kettle), rice, biscuits, and other essential goods.
The ‘CUCKOO Love, Care Project’ is a long-term community outreach programme which has seen flood reliefs given to other flood-hit communities in the past as well as the organisation of community services – volunteering to outreach and provide aid to the underserved communities.
