KUALA LUMPUR, 12 MARCH 2019 In conjunction with 22 March’s World Water Day, CUCKOO has launched the “Just 1 Cup to Brush My Teeth” campaign, an initiative poised to instil water-saving habits into the masses, starting with tooth brushing.

Established by the United Nations in 1993, World Water Day is an annual observance day that takes place on 22 March, with each year featuring its own freshwater-related theme to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Created in 2018, CUCKOO’s “Just 1 Cup to Brush My Teeth” campaign was inspired by studies which indicated that 1 in 3 individuals wastes 18.92 litres of water each time they brush their teeth with the tap running. That means we waste nearly 30 litres of water each day – the equivalent of 12 grown adults’ daily required water intake! With this initiative, CUCKOO urges all to brush their teeth with just a cup of water – a simple solution for a simple daily habit that will surely yield great results for the water conservation effort.

This year’s efforts are further emboldened by our CUCKOO Friends, Nicholas Teo, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar, Nabil Ahmad, Hetty Sarlene, Sam Mak , Chan Fong and Aanantha, most notably Hetty Sarlene and Nicholas Teo who sang the theme song and made an appearance in the promotional video! Each CUCKOO Friend has also shared the campaign on social media to spread the good word of water conservation.

Thus, CUCKOO invites everyone to participate and start cultivating water-conscious habits by posting creative photos or videos of them brushing their teeth with just a cup of water on their personal social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & Twitter) with the hashtags #WorldWaterDay2019 #SaveWaterwithCUCKOO #Just1Cup and #withCUCKOO.  10 lucky winners will also be chosen to win a CUCKOO Kyndell Thermo Flask worth RM 150!
