SPONSORS TEMPORARY HOSPITAL IN MAEPS SERDANG
Temporary Hospital In MAEPS Serdang To Be Equipped With
CUCKOO’s Water Purifiers, Air Purifiers Worth Over RM170k
Kuala Lumpur, 13 April 2020 –Healthy Home Creator, CUCKOO International (MAL) Sdn Bhd (CUCKOO), stands in solidarity with the Nation in the fight against COVID-19. Through its latest initiative, CUCKOO has helped equipped the new gigantic temporary makeshift hospital for COVID-19 patients at MAEPS Serdang with Water Purifiers and Air Purifiers worth over RM170,000.
“As a Malaysian-based management company and standing by our Beyond Standards philosophy, we want to go the extra mile by helping our Nation during this challenging period. Looking for ways to support and assist the Nation’s frontline in tackling the COVID-19 virus where possible, CUCKOO is honoured to be given such an opportunity to equip the temporary hospital at MAEPS Serdang with our Water Purifiers and Air Purifiers,” said CUCKOO Chief Customer Officer, Mr Toh Seng Lee.
Located at MAEPS Serdang with a total area of 130 hectares, the Low Risk COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre is the first of such conversion of public facilities into a makeshift hospital for COVID-19. The construction for the facility was completed swiftly within four days, under the guide and help from The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), Ministry of Health (MOH) and other agencies.
The facility is set to house over 600 COVID-19 patients who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms. Supporting the facility, the sponsored CUCKOO Water Purifiers and Air Purifiers are placed across various locations in MAEPS Serdang.

This sponsorship will allow patients to have a continuous supply of clean drinking water and good air quality around this central area. NADMA welcomes such assistance from CUCKOO and from all parties who can help ease the burden of those affected by this pandemic,” says NADMA Director of Operations Coordination Section, Mr. Ahmad Syahrizan bin Said.

The latest initiative by CUCKOO is part of a larger on-going awareness and educational campaign, CUCKOO Cares. Through the campaign, CUCKOO has been sharing tips to Malaysians on how to care for themselves and to give morale support during the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Notably, CUCKOO, through this campaign, has also released a music video titled ‘SAMASAMA Sehati’ with the help of its ambassador and Malaysia’s Queen of Pop, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
“As always, we extend our appreciation to the Nation’s frontline for their unwavering and untiring tenacity in the fight against COVID-19. Quoting our Prime Minister’s recent message to the Nation – ‘after the rain, comes the sun’, we believe that we will SAMASAMA get through this (together),” said Mr Toh.
